Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 27, 2026 This Privacy Policy applies to Plain Harbor ("Company") and explains how we collect, use, and share information through our Services. If you're in the EU, we comply with GDPR. We deal with two kinds of information: personal stuff that identifies you (your name, email, phone number, address) and anonymous data that doesn't (usage stats, aggregated numbers).
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
When you visit our website, we automatically log things like your browser type, operating system, ISP, IP address, when you accessed the site, and which pages you came from or left to. If you register, contact us, sign up for our newsletter, or connect a social media account, we might collect your name, email, location, birthdate, gender, device identifiers, geolocation data, and info from your social profiles. We also track usage metrics, device and browser information, diagnostic logs, what you click on, advertising identifiers (Apple IDFA, Google Advertising ID), and how you use the app. By using the Services, you're agreeing to all this collection.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, and local storage to figure out how the Services work, track what people do, and show ads. Third-party services we embed might collect data under their own rules. You can turn off or manage cookies in your browser, though some features won't work as well without them. 5. ADVERTISING
Ad companies use tracking to gather info about who you are, where you are, and what device you're on so they can show you relevant ads. If you want to opt out of this kind of targeting on mobile, you can do it through your Apple or Android settings.
6. PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS
Your username and profile picture show up to other users. Anything you share in chat, on message boards, or in a public profile can be seen and collected by other people. We can't be responsible for stuff you choose to tell others through the Services.
7. DO NOT TRACK
We don't respond to Do Not Track signals from your browser. There's no real standard for it yet across the industry. You can learn more at allaboutdnt.com.
8. CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS
California law (Civil Code Section 1798.82) lets you ask us what categories of personal information we've shared with third parties for marketing in the past year. You can make this request once a year by emailing info@plainharbor.space.
9. ACCESSING OR CHANGING YOUR INFORMATION
Contact us if you want to see, fix, or delete your personal information. Keep in mind there are legal reasons we might have to hold onto some data. We might charge a fee depending on what the law allows. Reach out at info@plainharbor.space.
10. DATA STORAGE AND RETENTION
Your data lives in different places around the world through third-party companies. When you use the Services, you're okay with that data being handled in places that might not have the same privacy rules as where you are. We keep personal information until you ask us to delete it or until we don't need it anymore for why we collected it.
11. INFORMATION FOR EU RESIDENTS (GDPR)
Legal bases for processing. We process your personal data because: you said it's okay (Art. 6(1)(a)), we need it to do something you asked (Art. 6(1)(b)), the law says we have to (Art. 6(1)(c)), it's vital to protect someone (Art. 6(1)(d)), or it's in our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)). Data retention. We delete personal data when we don't need it anymore or when the law tells us to. Log files. We keep IP addresses for up to a week to make sure the website works and stays secure, then we anonymize them. Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics and turn on IP anonymization. There's a browser add-on from Google that lets you opt out. Check google.com/analytics/privacyoverview.html. Cookies. We use necessary cookies under Art. 6(1)(f), but analytical cookies need your permission under Art. 6(1)(a). You control this through your browser. Newsletter. We use your name and email just to send you the newsletter and delete them when you unsubscribe. We're allowed to do this because you gave us permission (Art. 6(1)(a)). Social registration. Data from signing in with social media is used to let you access the Services and gets deleted when your account does. We can do this because of the contract between us (Art. 6(1)(b)). Your GDPR rights. Email info@plainharbor.space to ask us about accessing your data, correcting it, erasing it, limiting what we do with it, moving it somewhere else, objecting to how we use it, or opting out of automated decisions. You can also file a complaint with the privacy authority in your EU country.
12. CHILDREN
If you're under 13, you can't use the Services. We don't knowingly collect info from kids that young. If you're between 13 and 18, your parent or guardian needs to say it's okay before you use the Services or give us any information. Parents or guardians can ask us to remove a child's information by emailing info@plainharbor.space.
13. SECURITY
We use SSL encryption and other protections to keep your information safe, but nothing is completely secure. Use the Services knowing there's some risk, and keep your password to yourself.
14. UPDATES TO THIS POLICY
We might change this Privacy Policy whenever we want. New versions take effect a month after we post them at plainharbor.com unless we say otherwise. If you keep using the Services, that means you accept the changes.
